SeaStar Scholars share Their Gratitude

Nadia is what we lovingly call a "Lifer"!  

Nadia has attended SeaStar Kids Bible Camp since the very first session in 2010.  Her continuing life of faith and service is a wonderful example for younger campers and has made her a powerful StarKeeper.  It is clear that SeaStar campers have loved spending time with Nadia, and especially enjoyed her Bible stories and crafting sessions.

Most recently, Nadia became one of our first 

SeaStar Scholars and will soon graduate from Kiev College of Light Industry with a degree in design.

Above all, Nadia gives God the glory for using her in His service and freely shares her praise and thanks wherever she goes.

Nastia was a tiny girl when she first met Dr. Jerkins on an early mission trip. Just ten years old, Nastia first attended SeaStar Kids Bible Camp at the Black Sea camp and still considers it one of her greatest life blessings.

Over the last 10 years, Nastia has grown in her faith and, as a baptized believer, loves to talk to others about what God has done for her.  She is a respected StarKeeper and works hard to influence young campers to lead God-centered lives.

Nastia is also now a SeaStar Scholar, studying in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Kiev Medical College. She is set to graduate soon.

Nastia wants friends and supporters of SeaStar Kids to know how thankful she is for the influence they've had on her life, and is full of gratitude that you've given her the chance to fulfill her potential.

Oleg is a former SeaStar Kid and recent SeaStar Scholar.  

He recently graduated with high honors in Economics from Odessa Christian University and is anxious to start his own business to put into practice all that he's learned -- as well as provide for his wife, Olena and 3-year-old daughter, Vlada.

Oleg gained enormous respect among the SeaStar family for his perseverance and commitment as he cared for his bedridden mother, Raisa, while completing his coursework.  After her passing two years ago, SeaStar Kids were honored to help Oleg with funeral expenses.

Oleg is passionate about his faith, working with his local church and participating regularly in the worship service.  He is especially grateful for the assistance, guidance, encouragement and prayers of his supporters.

Lila is not only a "Lifer" at SeaStar Kids camp, but is also a StarKeeper, SeaStar Scholar and -- as of last year -- an SeaStar Kids Assistant Director.

Lila recently completed her degree in Speech Therapy at the and is excited about continuing her work with young people in both her professional and Christian life.
